Ingredients

  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter melted and cooled

  • 1 large egg

  • 1/4 cup milk

  • 4 1/4 oz (1 cup) all-purpose flour

  • 3 oz (1/4 cup + 3 Tbsp) white sugar

  • 1 teaspoons baking powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt

  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet and/or dark chocolate chips

  • 1/2 cup crushed nuts

Directions

  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.

  • Prepare a 6-cup muffin tin with liners or spray with non-stick cooking spray.

  • Combine the melted butter, eggs, and milk in a medium bowl.

  • Add wet ingredients into dry ingredients and stir to combine.

  • Fold in chocolate chips and nuts until evenly combined.

  • Divide the batter evenly among the 6 muffin liners.

  • Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown on top and a toothpick or knife can be inserted into the center of the muffin and comes out clean.
